When first we saw Deep Bay, we were looking for a vacation home. It didn't take long for "the lure of the wild" to grab us, hook, line and sinker. We resigned from our jobs, sold our Vancouver home, and made the permanent leap to live in our own little piece of paradise.
We are a hearing/Deaf couple and are fluent in English and ASL (American Sign Language). We love the outdoors and the natural beauty that surrounds us here. We have a very large blue Great Dane named Sherlock (who is not very bright, but seems you can have beauty or brains: and we know where Sherlock landed….).
Looking for time out to relax, rejuvenate and recuperate? Our comfortable and well-equipped suites provide you with all that you need to relax and enjoy your holiday. All suites have a large, comfortable beds, TV, free internet, wi-fi, complete with their own private bathrooms and kitchens. Eagle is the largest (and the main home) for 6 people, Orca suite for 3-4 people, Dolphin 2-3, while Hummingbird suite comfortably accommodates 2 people. Depending on availability, our entire home can easily be booked to accommodate larger groups, such as family reunions, business retreats or weddings.
All suites (except Eagle) are available on a nightly basis, with the exception of peak time, when bookings are a minimum of 1 week. Monthly rates are available. Peak time varies yearly, but is determined by the school calendar. Two weeks at Christmas, two weeks at spring break, and July 1st to the Labour Day long weekend. One time cleaning fee and a $50 pet fee, if applicable, will apply to all suites.
This spacious and luxurious 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom suite has the elite breathtaking mountain, harbor and oceanfront views. Designed in an open-concept architecture with full Kitchen-Dining-Living facilities, both the vaulted living, dining, and kitchen areas share exquisite ocean views, in a comfortable area that can seat up to 12 guests.
$3,000 / week (no daily rentals available)
Our licensed Orca Suite is an oceanfront 1-bedroom (king) suite furnished with a futon for any kids and guests. It has a full kitchen and bathroom, with French doors leading out onto a stunning ocean-front view on your covered patio.
$175 / day (non peak times), or $1,000 / week
Oceanfront 1-bedroom (queen) suite with direct access to a private patio. It has a comfortable queen-size bed, full bathroom & a kitchenette that contains a sink, a full-size fridge/freezer & microwave, a desktop oven/roaster, single cooktop burner and instapot, all with ample counter-tops & kitchen cabinets.
$150 / day (non peak times), or $750 / week
Our Hummingbird Suite is a studio suite, surrounded by one of Deep Bay’s renowned gardens. The suite contains a luxurious queen size iron four poster bed, mini fridge, microwave, coffee/tea etc as well as smart tv and wifi. The suite has an 3-piece en-suite bathroom with easy garden access to laundry, and BBQ.
$85 / day (non peak times), or $500 / week
